Lakeside is a village and station on the northern end of the Skarloey Railway. A loopline was opened in 1965 that runs round the lake passing Lakeside. It is by the lake where Peter Sam accidentally left The Refreshment Lady behind. The Refreshment Lady's tea shop, Neptune Refreshments, is located here. There is also a blue drawbridge to allow ships to enter and exit the harbour. Lakeside Junction is also located here.
